Full-Time Temporary IT Help Desk Support Specialist

We are in search of a full-time temporary customer service-oriented Help Desk Specialist to provide end user technical support in an efficient and accurate manner.  The candidate will provide support to end users for basic computer, application, system, device, access and hardware issues.  Identify, research, and resolve technical problems. Respond to assigned help desk requests for technical support. Document, track, and monitor the issues utilizing the IT Help Desk.  This position will be available through May 2020 and then future needs will be evaluated.

Responsibilities:

•    Provide technical assistance and support for incoming/assigned Help Desk requests and issues for computer systems, software, and hardware
•    Respond to Help Desk requests received and provide first level support
•    Install/upgrade PC’s and peripherals, ensuring proper configuration and connectivity
•    Provide support for Enterprise products including: Windows 10, Office365, Browsers, Web conferencing; Zoom and WebEx, as well as department-specific applications
•    Provide support for Enterprise Print Fleet
•    Provide support with A/V equipment
•    Maintain communication with end-users during the resolution process
•    Use of IT Help Desk to maintain record of daily activities, problems and action taken, and installation activities
•    Monitor their Help Desk queue and provide follow-up, entering all help desk activity in the IT Help Desk. Ensure documentation is thorough and accurate.
•    Special Projects and other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

•    Associate’s Degree and 2+ years IT Support work experience
•    Ability to excel in a team environment
•    Excellent customer service skills; verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
•    Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
•    Working knowledge of computer setup, MS products, and ability to adapt as new technology becomes available
